okay I have a new one (for me anyway)

I have been having what I think are small muscle spasms in my back and under my left breatbone.  It is so close to my heart that I'm thinking my heart is vibrating or quivering or something.  However, when I feel the vibration or spasm or whatever it is, I check my pulse and it is strong and regular.  Can you have a strong and regular pulse if your heart is quivering or beating irregularly?  I think I know the answer to this, but it is keeping me up and night (from worry)so I thought I'd have some of you guys reassure me.  I just had my work up in June and am due for my yearly echo in October.  Thanks guys....frenchie

Have you had an echo, EKG?  I'm not a doctor, but it sounds more muscular than cardiac.  With a strong and regular pulse, I think you're looking at something other than cardiac stuff.  Does OTC medication help?

Yes, I have had an echo, ekg, stress test.  My heart is structurally normal.  I just have PVC's that wax and wane.  Sometimes they lead to PAT.  Strangely enough I had a short burst of svt last night.  About 20 beats.  This happens about 3 or 4 times a year.  Most of the time the PAT is clocked at 220 and it starts up after a rather long pause.  I really think it is something else too.  I have felt this on and off for about three weeks now.  Everytime it starts, I check my pulse and it is not skipping.  I've been dealing with skips and tachy stuff for over 20 years so I really can tell when my heart is out of whack.  Or usually....I does feel like a muscle spasm.  The kind I get in my arms or legs every once in a while.  I just don't usually get them in my chest.  Just as long as I know that my pulse would be irregular too if it really was my heart, then I'm just going to try and not worry about it.  I just wasn't sure if you can have a quivering heartbeat and a regular pulse.  I guess that would be pretty difficult.  No other symptoms with it either.
thanks for replying
