pacemaker anyone?

pacemaker anyone?

I have a cardiac loop recorder implant because of WPW and syncope; I have had many episodes even in hospitals during severe migraines with vomiting and for a long time they wrote it off to a seizure . I have been diagnosed with Vasovagal syndrome that was recorded while vomiting at home with the loop-recorder.The first event they blamed on the seizures, and at one time before it was finally recorded they questioned pych causes of both.
I will have the implant removed soon but was wondering if a pacemaker is ever used to maintain hr ad Bp? I am post cardiac ablation X 3 and sometimes have days of just laying on the sofa for severe lack of energy and low hr in 40's- sometimes a little lower. I just wondered if this was an option. I was scheduled for a pacemaker before and had a syncopal epi and they decided to do the implant of the loop-recorder just to be sure because of a couple of  murmers and the difficulty of having it on paper (proven). i dont go back to cardiac doc until december..............anyone know? I do not take meds for this but do have severe migraines, and seizure disorder

I used to take Inderal.  That time I didn't know what's migraines.  Now I saw someone posted Dr prescribed Inderal for his migraines.

Inderal can prevent migraines.  Inderal also can reduce palpitations.  Inderal also can control high blood pressure.

I also have a pacemaker.  I know it can control heart rate (fast and slow).  I didn't have high blood pressure so I don't know is that the pacemaker play a part in it or I actually didn't have high blood pressure.  I'm sorry, I can't help you in this part..

You said you have 3 x ablation.  Are your wpw still showing in the ECG?  OR are your accessory pathway(s) still active?

Pacemakers are definitely on the list of useful treatments for severe vasovagal syncope/syndrome.  I have severe syncopal responses at times and my HR drops as low as 11 BPM. Before deciding to give me antiarrhythmetics (norpace) the doctor kept bringing up a pacemaker.

Pacemakers can regulate HR, and can regulate BP only in accordance with the HR frequency. In other words, if you have LOW BP just because your HR is low, then your BP will respond accordingly to increasing your HR.

Good luck!!

In response to still having pathways. I had none for a few years but there seems evid. that there is regrowth of new pathway(s).  I had some block as a result of the ablations- but overall I am doing much better expect for the brady days and syncope.
thanks for your input- that is helpful. my bp is either normal or low to near nothing-(in those challenging moments)
