please help, scary symptoms

please help, scary symptoms

i am 29 yr old woman who is healthy and active. I have a combination of symptoms but recently had a scary one. It felt like a spasm in my heart i was in a completly calm state. It paplitated quickly with a sharp pain that kind of took my breath away. I have in the past few months been getting some testing done for things such as diabeties, heart and neurological issues. I had a sleep test done and was diagnosed with what my doctor thought was severe restless leg syndrome. The biggest symptom i have is a dull leg pain that is very bad at times, it radiates from behind my knees in the upper calf area is worse at night and in the morning but is always constant. It is deep
my other symtoms (symptoms) include.
occasional numbness in toes and fingertips
fatigue
anxiety
muscle cramping and tightening
tingling in fingertips
occasional heart palpitations that are not painful
Please help me to understand. Was the painful heart palpition somthing to worry about and could it be related to my other symptoms?

I agree w. aylish....a heart doc will do process of elimination but i know for sure my mom had severe restless leg syndrome and her symtoms (symptoms) mirrored yours.  You have to remember that the legs are directly related to the heart in that the main arteries run thru them so i would not be surprised at the palps with this.  I guess its called cause and effect here.  I know my mom had a heck of a time at one point even walking after a bad nite of RLS and she said she felt like she was walking on sticks and it was painful for her....only a doc can tell you if the two are related but i don't think it would hurt to see a heart doc to rule out something that may or may not be related but my vote goes w. the RLS.....

I also agree.  Get the holter, and do the stress tests etc.  Hopefully tests come back negative.  If they do come back good, my advise is to do an evaluation of your current stress level.  I have been on this site for about a year, and the combination of anxiety, palps, loss of sleep, seems to occur regularly.   There are massive amounts of info on the net.  Just search stress reduction.
PS  Dont let anyone tell you "it is just stress".  Stress can be extremely hard on the body, mind, and spirit.  Good luck.
