post failed ablation

Ok everyone I had a failed ventricular tachycardia ablation. I was on the table for 4 hours and they kept putting adrenaline and calcium in me and could not get my heart to go into that irregular tachycardia. I only had it one time in 30 days for 9 seconds. The doctor at the Cleveland Clinic lowered my medicine to only 100 mg a day of toporol and put me on a 30 day monitor. They said that my heart was only doing pac's which was benign on the last monitor. What Is the difference between PVC's and PAC's and when does PAC's turn into atrial fib? Do I need to worry about that? And is 1 9 second ventricular tachycardia something to worry about? Please get back to me. IF any one wants to know how it feels to get an ablation for tachycardia let me know. I thought the experience was horrible. Trust me. The adrenaline, the mapping, the calcium.

Cleveland Clinic is The Heart Hospital, as I understand it.  Sorry they couldn't focus on the ablation problem.

As for your questions, I have only partial ideas. First I don't believe there is any "rule" that PAC turn into AFib.  However, it is true that AFib is more common as one ages.  But I'd not worry about that before reaching the 50s or 60s age-wise.

As for the difference between PVC (ventricle) and PAC (atrium) the main is the following word.  PVC, being the large and stronger muscle chamber would, I think make the premature contraction more noticable, and I think many people don't even feel PAC.

I am a bit cautious about clots, so I would ask my doctor if I should/can take an aspirin, perhaps a low (81 mg) dose, or a half regular dose.  Some people can't take aspirin due to stomach sensitivities.
