presyncope

by Bennie1013, Jan 29, 2009 04:06PM
I have had numerous episodes of near fainting which my family dr. thinks may be
heart related.  I wore a monitor for about 20 days but had only one occasion recorded with a
heart rate of 120.  I quit taking amitryptilene in case that was a factor, but it made no difference.
I have been diagnosed in the past with mitral valve prolapse.  I have numerous nodules on my
thyroid and take 112mcg of synthroid.  I am 66 yrs of age.  About 6 weeks ago I increased my exercise from 3 - 6
days per week (40 min ea)  I have not had an episode since.  Is it possible that the increase in exercise is
responsible for reducing the presyncope episodes?
