what if your pulse rate is normally really low and then spikes?
i.e. i went to the dentist the other morning (didn't have anything to eat yet and had a cup of coffee) and my rate was something like 172.
(is normally 60 or well below. was even at like 45 during labor!)
An actual normal pulse rate for a women is 82 bpm; a man is 72 bpm. Rates between 60-100 is considered the normal range for a resting heart rate.
A rest HR between 60 and 80 bpm would be very normal, below 70 better if in good physical condition. A rate as high as 100 would not necessarily be a problem, but should be checked.
