Hey there!  I was just wondering how so many pvcs could lead to cardiomyopathy?  When did you first start getting pvcs and when did it start getting bad.  Please tell me of your experience.  Thanks so much! :)

Hi nikgirl!

I had pvcs for about 25 years before they triggered any problems.  I used to have tens of thousands of pvcs everyday, and was often in bigeminy.  Thanks goodness I visit my cardio semi-annually for other reasons; it was during one of those visits/tests that the CM was discovered.  I was shocked!

Try not to let the pvcs run your life -- they have a tendency to turn us into "dwellers."  Been there, done that -- not fun.  As long as you've had a good workup, and your doctor has determined the pvcs to be benign, do your best to learn to accept them. It may take awhile, but it is much less stressful than worrying about them.  Feel free to share your experiences and look to forum members for information, experiences, support and friendship.  Have a great day!
