I have been having a rapid pulse rate for over a year. It usually stays in the 125 but has gone up to 157.  My Dr. put me on propafene 150 mg. to take three times a day. It hasn't helped much so he told me to increase it,  so now I take 2 three times a day. I can take up to 8 per day, which I have at times.  I have also passed out twice while driving a car, totaling one & causing considerable damage to the other.  My ques. is this?  Can this be caused from the pills or the high pulse rate.  Also, could this blacking out be caused from having a high pulse rate and it  dropping to a low rate.  I've had considerable tests and nothing shows up.  I am a 61 yr old female. I am getting totally frustrated with it  and don't know who to go to .  I do know that I am tired of it all!  Thank you, nana6
