"What is your hr in the morning before getting out of bed?"
Ah-ha!... trick question. Your heart rate is typically higher in the morning before and after you get up, sort of like your body is getting a jump start.
You sound like your right in the zone for heart rate, especially after working out and in less than tip top shape. You know.... 5'7" and 190 is well above your target weight. I'm wondering how your blood glucose is? I would advise a cheapo Walmart blood glucose meter and a 10 pack of strips and test yourself. Age, body mass.....I hate to tell you this, but you're a prime Type II diabetes candidate. If you're concerned about getting back into shape, a blood glucose test is an essential tool in getting there.

Great answer from Ger57. I've come to the realization that pulse checking isn't productive for anxious people like myself. I stopped years ago. It will also vary with time of day, or if you just ate food.
Seems normal to me. Your heart rate will decrease slowly to the normal rest pace. Depending on the intensity of the workout and on your physical shape, this may go quickly or take a little longer.
As you get in better shape, you will notice that your maximal intensity of the workout will become higher and you will get back to your resting heart pace quicker. Over time, your resting heart rate may go down also.
