scared!!

I am a 32 year old female, I started having heart related problems since living in Mexico which has high altitude.
I was told I have MVP with mild regurgitation, and had pericarditis. They say the pericarditis is gone, but put me on Inderal 20mg every morning for my palpitation. Well since being on the Inderal my pressure has gone sky high, and palpitation has increased to every single day multiple times a day. I have always had a problem with low low blood pressure, but the Inderal is changing that. I sought out a second doctors opinion, and he said the medicine is causing the change. Now he wants me to stop taking the Inderal cold turkey after only 2 month of being on the meds. And wants to put me on a holter monitor, to see where the arrythmias is coming from. I am affraid to stop cold turkey, because I read if you do you could have a heart attack, or go into cardiac arrest. I have had EKGs, Echograms, ect, and was told everything was fine, until the last EKG has some abnormalties. What should I do I am scared to stop taking the medicine. P.S.  This medicine is causing me to have bad dream, and I think about death alot.
