thanks to both of you. i have been to the doc an they said my heart is healthy, perfect ekgs an had to wear a 24hour heart monitor an that came back normal as well. ok so if i do cardio even if its for a couple mins like punching a punching bag, ones heart rate would be expected to go up right? so mine goes up to the correct intensity of my work out but the problem is when i stop i can still feel it beating fast, i cant track how many beats per minute because i know once i feel my heart beating fast i get nervous so i know that causes it to go up even more. all i know was it was so fast beat after beat with what seemed if they were any fater they would be one long beat. i know your heart rate wont go down immediately after an intense work out it should take a couple to a few mins to get back to normal, so as of recently i cant workout that much cuz i start to panic after. I dont know if by coincidence the other day i had a panic after i worked out and now its causing me to panic all the time because i associated that feeling with working out or if something is really wrong even thought im "perfectly healthy". really appreciate your input thanks! looking forward to reading more.....oh an i am a hypocondriac per my own diagnosis because i constantly worry about my health, if i get a weird pain or a headache i think somethings terribly wrong, through out the day i check my heart rate an an constantly aware of my breathing an everything else that has to do with my body
Your question contains a lot of general information, so i'd like to hear some more details. So when you say "it feels like my heart is beating so hard an i can feel it through my chest", how fast is it beating? Can you measure your pulse? Report back to us. Also, how does it begin and end? Does it go up suddenly, or does it go up in rate in response to your workout, and slow down gradually when you stop?
I believe there is some sort of normal response the heart is suppose to have when you stop exercising. If you heart is not responding normally then there may be an issue. Do you have a heart monitor. I have a watch I can use to check my heart rate. See if you can get one to track what your rate is when working out, what it is when you stop and how quickly or not it goes down. I believe it should go down about 20bpm fairly quickly. If you heart is not responding that way you may want to go see a cardiologist for a work up. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.
