Wow yes i was dissy towards the end of stopping the tiazac......an dyes here i am still dizzy,,,,,my dr. says that my heart is ok but i wory every day that this dizziness is my heart...i have not started any new meds.i have been on risperdal since spt 13 and reneron since sept 23 and ativan since aug 4 all for anxiety and deprression,In like a month and a half i have tried bystolic atenol, and verapamil and tiazac..and had sime kind of side eefect from all,Or else its all in my mind...my heart rate is down still and im so dizzy and feel like my heart is racing but its not,I know anxiety can do alot.I dont know if im puttinf stress on my heart by not taking the meds and its going up and down...the dr wanted me to go on the coreg to stqaqblize things but i called and told him i was scared too becauser things are low right now and thats when he told me to take it as needed,,,,,,the pharmaisists says u have to take it regulary
I'm not sure about the Coreg dosing. Like I said, my Dad took it for years and it helped him quite a bit. When I first stated the Diltiazem I was really dizzy for the first week (I couldn't drive the car safely, kind of bounced off the hallway walls at home) but then it eased off.
Why are you dizzy now after being off the med for almost a week? I don't know. Have you started any other meds just recently besides the tiazac? I've never dealt with anxiety so I'm not sure if that would cause dizziness. There must be others on this board that have some experience with it and would know.
I do know some anti-arrhythmia drugs can be used as a "pill in the pocket" way, that is just take one when your heart acts up and won't settle down. Diltiazem is one.
You could try calling your cardio's office and ask about the conflicting information you're getting about how to take Coreg. You need some clear answers.
