I just had one 2 days ago and I was terrified from all the things I read. Totally nothing like anything that I read. My heart rate went up to 118 with no adverse reaction. Had a very slight metallic taste in my mouth for about 5-10 seconds and I had a bad head ache before it started and they thought maybe it would get worse, but didn't. Actually not a bad experience at all. God bless!
I have had a headache for 2 days. They say coffee gets rid of it but it hasn't helped. I hope your went better than mine.
I had the chemical stress test yesterday and it hurt, but a few mins later the pain in my chest and jaw was replaced with a headache that will not go away. I've drank coffee and I'm coffee out. But, head still feels like someone is squeezing and the pressure is really bad. What should I do or is this normal. Nurse promised coffee would help and head would stop hurting. I'm on my 2nd day and I feel no better.
I also had a nuclear stress test. If you google it, you will see that there are no side effects to worry about like there usually is with medicine. They inject you with trace amounts of a nuclear tracer. The tech showed told me it is a 'tiny' amount. I always worry about side effects of any type of medicine, but after reading several "googles", I didn't sweat it. You'll be fine.

Yes, I had a nuclear stress test last year and I had no side effects whatsoever from the injected stuff. In my case it was 99m Sestamibi given in 2 different doses for isotopes 1 and 2. The doctor wanted to rule out any blockage in my arteries because the EKG was abnormal. I was very happy to be told that no blockages were detected and that everything looked pretty much normal. I must confess that before the test I was very nervous but it really turned out to be no big deal. So hang in there, and good luck with your test!
