tachycardia 3 hours after exercise

Hello,
Yesterday I introduced a new strength exercise into my routine, tricep curls standing up. The weather was hot. After around 3 hours and immediately following dinner, I had a run of tachycardia for around 10 to 15 seconds. Could this have been due to the food, exercise, weather, or all three? I am 53 years, male, with a history of palpitations in the last 10 years, of unknown cause. The tests have so far come normal because of absence of palpitations when on the machines. Only one holter recorded NSVT. Should I go for tests again, despite most being inconclusive so far?
Thanks.

Have you been tested for Sleep Apnea? Believe me, you can be in good shape and still have Apnea. High Blood Pressure and Palpitations are the number 1 and 2 symptoms of Apnea.
My CPAP theory has seemed to help 100% and its only been 28 days

I suspect it may have been a simple run of ectopics, pacs or pvcs caused by dehydration or food related but keep an eye on things if it keeps happening you may want to get checked out again.  Get a monitor to catch it and see what is going on.  A run of a few seconds is generally not a concern in an otherwise healthy heart even if it is a short run of vt but if you ever feel like you are in danger do not hesitate to head to the er.  Considering your age, after 50, it's best to be safe than sorry.  But food is often a trigger for me to get short runs of ectopic beats.  Acid reflux especially.  Take care.
