the blood p med is minoxidil??

does anyone take this medicine for blood presure..im on 40mgs of lisinopril   and 2-- 0.1mgs of clondine and he prescribed this today..2.5mgs of minoxidil..cuz when i went there it was 170/102 p60.. when i came  home i re  took it..it was 150/88 p66..then went did what  i Had's to do..then took it again it was 127/76 p62  so whats happening was 2 weeks ago he put me on the 0.1 mg twice aday..1 in the am..1 in the pm...ive had to take 1 at 7amsh  and  1/2  of my night dose to get it down from  160/96..at 11am...then throughout  the day  the top # would  always be around 150  160..the bottom  would be good........so im wondering if the minoxidil  will make it go to low...but this seems like a low dose anyways....just being on all 3 meds  for blood p....my heart rate is low by nature  at my resting rate of 66-72..then when i take  the clondine it drops sometimes at 48..but always goes back to 56 and stays at that most of the night.....................................WELL ANY INFO WOULD HELP ME......THANKS ALOT...JAMES

I do not take this med but know alot about it, and yes it can make your hear rate slow. My number one question is are you over weight? do you smoke? stressed? these are things that you can change because taking these meds do have their side effects. But perhaps whil you are taking these meds ask your doctor if you can excersisea and try to see if that lowers your blood pressure naturally. Last but not lease does high blood pressure run in your family. DO NOT STOP TAKING THESES MEDS!!! but ask your doctor if you can makelifestyle changes along with the meds to lower your blood pressure
