LOL..Yeah it was not bad at all. I also just got a call back from the cardio office. Urine test nromal. So now 2 normal stress tests, normal echo, normal holter normal event monitor, all normal blood work.. so why the do I have a faster heart rate?? I will get that questions answered at my visit next week. I assume ti appears my heart health is pretty good. Must be just sinus tach.. and id that's the case I guess I'll be ok.
See? Told ya. I would bet that in the end, the diagnosis will be "3 children make a parent crazy."
Take two vacations, call the doctor in the morning.
Well I did it. Took the tilt table this AM and did not pass out was NO where near passing out. Heart rate stayed in the 90's BP was perfect. So I assume this rules out POTS? I guess I will know more when I meet with my cardio doc. I also have yet to hear about the urine test. I assume that's good news or they would have called. So, I'm feeling kind of good here that nothing serious is going on. Had to share.
Oh yes. I just had one. It's not TOO bad, unless they actually make you faint. Be prepared for that. It's not dangerous, just very uncomfortable. Takes about an hour for the full thing, at least in my case it did.
They'll make you lie down and take your pulse and blood pressure every so often. Then they'll tilt the table until you're in mostly a standing position and measure your blood pressure and pulse a bit longer.
In my case they then gave me a little pill which was to stimulate the vagal nerve. I fainted shortly afterwards. They'll still be taking your blood pressure and pulse and they'll be able to tell just what is making your heart misbehave.
It's fairly uncomfortable if you actually faint, but that's just a little part of the test. They told me to go to the test without having eaten anything. Apparently because you might have a bout of nausea with the test. Just take something like juice to drink afterwards. You should be just fine. Good luck with the test!
