very weird heart beat

im am a 31 year old male. I'm not over weight and in pretty good shape, active everyday. about 1 1/2 years ago i got really stressed out that my heat started running around 125 bpm non stop. i didn't have any symptoms just became worried about it. my doctor notice it during a check up for an allergy infection and sent me to a heart doctor. the heart doctor did pretty much every test you could think of and said everything looked good other than my heart skip and was beating pretty fast. so she put me on a beta blocker called bystolic 2.5 mg but i didn't start taking it. well about 3 weeks after all my test one night my heart started beating very fast and skipping or dropping everywhere beat. i went to the we were an ekg showed i had a first degree morbid one blockage but since i had no symptoms that sent me home. next morning i went to my heart doctor who did an ekg and it showed normal so she thought maybe i had a panic attack. i started taking the beta blocker after this happens but got awful side affects and couldn't take enough of it to do any good. my question is my heart will do this about once a month i can almost pin point the day and the doctors can't seem to figure out why. it will start beating around 105 and skip every third or forth beat and do it all night long and then the next day its fine for another 30 or 40 days what could be causing this. its really about to get the best of me. thanks

Thanks for the reply, When i stared taking the BB at the recommend dose it made me feel awful so the Dr thought that maybe it was slowing the bottom of my heart down to much so he cut it in half. then I noticed at a half of dose i didn't feel as bad but i would get pressure in my head, shortness of breath and a awful sharp pain right in my heart like some jab something in it. I took the BB for a year. Bystolic is the newest BB on the market in the U.S. but has been around over seas for about 10 years. It's suppose to have the least side effects and you only had to take it once a day but no matter what amount i took even cut down to the size of a small nail head i still got the pain. So i stopped taking it about 8 days ago. My last doctors visit we talked about doing a test that would show the bad area in my heart and they could later it away. My concern with that is they really don't know what the cause could be because there is no patterns to what causes it. If i drink caffeine or not still the same. Sometimes it does it on days i go alot sometimes not and sometimes it does it on days ido nothing. other than that most of the time its good. I just wished it could be figured out because i feel like its holding me back from things i enjoy

While reading I began to suspect the female cycle, then checking your profile I see you are a male, so that is out.

Perhaps there is a Beta Blocker or a Calcium Channel Blocker that will help that has tolerable side effects.  I do not know the brand "Bystolic", I take generic Metoprolol myself, very inexpensive too.  I take 25 mg twice a day, normal release medication.  The side effects that were the most troubling to me, dizziness, passed after taking the medication for a few weeks.  Maybe you need to give your medication a longer "test run".  Just be careful, I don't know what your side effects are, nor am I qualified to evaluate them...just sharing my experience with BB.  My condition is Atrial Fibrillation.
