I had the Nissen procedure performed 2 weeks ago today and I know it may be a little too early but I have gas pain and lots of bloating. My gas pressure and bloating seems to stem from the fact that I cannot belch. Will this eventually pass and does anyone know if this surgery is reversible?
this is a common postop side effect of lap Nissen
occurs in around 7% of cases
should go away w time
can be permanent and may require reoperation - hopefully not in your case
good luck and keep us posted
