Small lump with an opening on my anus.

Hello. A few months ago I noticed after using the toildt i noticed blood on the toilet paper. I know it can sometimes happen but this was more than i saw before. It happened a week or two after and after self examination i noticed a small lump on my anus when i pushed out a bit. The lump had a small circular opening on it. I visited a physician in the middle of May and recieved an ointment for my anus and was advised to take warm baths and apply the medication twice a day. Almost 4 months have passed and i don't see any improvement or change on my anus. It's not painful, doesn't cause discomfort other then the occasional itching which is barely noticeable. I am 28 years old and never had any problems like these. Also in my family there haven't been any conditions like this one as far as I am aware of. The only thing i can think of that might have caused this other han a hard stool is anal sex since i am gay and enjoy bottoming. I've been avoiding that for the last few weeks and haven't noticed any change what so ever. Thank you for your help.
