What are symptoms of Hemorrhoids?

I am new to the site and new to typing questions on the internet.  I am a meat an potatoes man and have been living this way for years.  I have recently been having trouble with going to the bathroom and have some soreness going on when I am working and driving around.  Mostly happens when I have to sit down for long periods of time.

What are the symptoms of hemorrhoids?  Are there things I should be looking out for?

Rectal Hemorrhoids Symptoms:  

Bleeding during Bowel Movements is probably the most familiar to most of us along with itching and rectal pain.  Sometimes you can have them and be asymptomatic, too!

Thanks for the response, I work long hours too and have to lift lots of heavy stuff daily.  It doesn't bother me all the time but recently it has.  Is there anything I can try to use to help the soreness?
