Allergic reaction to Hep A vaccine

I had a very severe allergic reaction to an influenza vaccine a couple of years back. What is the likelihood of a similar reaction to the Hep A vaccine ?

Hello,
There are two types of flu vaccine, the injection (with killed virus) and nasal spray vaccines (containing live, but weakened, virus). Hepatitis A is an inactivated virus vaccine. Egg protein is found in influenza vaccine. May be the allergic reaction happened due to its constituents. Being allergic to one vaccine doesn’t necessarily mean that you will develop allergic reaction to hepatitis A vaccine too. Discuss your concerns with a local health care provider before vaccination. Hope it helps.
Good luck!
