Not sure how long they last, but I had a hep a vacination years ago also. I tested recently for the antibodies and they didn't show up, which means I was no longer protected.

I got A and the first 2 for B while on TX.  Everthing was clouded by the meds (mainly peg) that it's hard to tell which side effects are which.

I received the Hep A and B before treatment. Still waiting for the other to B shots. Neither had any effect.

To frisco - about my dog. We got her from a vet. She was left because she had parvo virus and the original owners were unfit so the vet asked if we would keep her. For awhile, we donated her blood to cure other dogs of the desease. Her name is cinnamon, so sindog is her nickname.

My doc told me to start taking tylonal before taking the shot, then continue every four hours. Also, as everyone says, drink, drink, drink water. For upset stomach, my doctor perscribed promethazine (phenergan).

I had the combo Hep A/B vaccine during tx, and suffered no noticeable ill effects from it.  Hopefully, your sx will clear up soon.  :)

I have heard they last 7 - 10 and in some cases longer.  I don't think anyone knows for sure.

I have Hep C and I am starting treatment next week.  I am also getting vaccination for Hep B.  My dr. told me yesterday you only need to get vaccination once. She told me my system had fought the Hep A and I would not get it again.  good Luck
Peace.

I work at school for kids that have autism. One of the kids that I work with has hepatitis. He bit a fellow student which now that kids has it.
They didn't tell staff about neither student but fellow staff member leak it out. What should do? This kid has bitten two more kids.
