Liver

I had infectious Hepatitis A about 30 years ago.  I was
unable to even work for three (3) months.  Would such a
case of this type affect the function of your liver slowly
over a 30 year period, even though the liver is suppose
to be the quickest healing organ of the body?

In the last year I get a little discomfort in the area
of where my liver is located.

Hello!
The commonest cause of infectious hepatitis is hepatitis A. It is an acute viral illness which is usually cured within 4-6 weeks with no permanent liver damage. You should not worry about the infection which had occurred 30 years back causing any symptoms now. A little discomfort in the liver area can be due to several causes. It can be due to indigestion, fatty liver, gallstones, cholecystitis, any infection in the liver, cyst in liver etc. What are the other symptoms you have been having? You need a complete evaluation for your symptoms. Hope you find this information useful. Do keep us posted.
Take care and good luck!
