Thank you! I checked negative for any STDs , HEP, or HIV. I am curious as to why my WBC count may be at 12. I had the stomach flu a couple of weeks ago and the doc told me my WBC was elevated. Yesterday, I got the results of my test, and as indicated, everything was negative, but my WBC count was at 12.
My doc said my uric acid was at 9, so I started taking 300mg allopurinol twice daily, also, creatinine level and liver function was up; he said I was a candidate for diabetes. Would this increase WBC?
Hi, the possibility is there. Hepatitis A is transmitted by the feco oral route, means it is transmitted by contamination of food with fecal matter from the infected person. Symptoms will usually show up 2 - 6 weeks after being exposed to the hepatitis A virus. They are usually mild, but may last for up to several months. It is usually self limiting. Improved sanitation and Hepatitis A immunization are the most effective ways to combat the disease. Check with your doctor regarding vaccination. Regards.
