can i catch it

Tags: Hepatitis, Hepatitis A, friends, transfusion, Hepatitis C

I recently discovered that my best friends Mom was diagnosed with Hepatitis A and C. I treat her like shes my mom so Im over there alot. Can I catch either of those just by being around her? I know Hepatitis C is transmitted by blood to blood contact.
But what about A? Mom has never had a blood transfusion and shes never had an IV is there another way she could have gotten it?
