how did they determine the autoimmune hepatitis from hep c? I have multiple autoimmune diseases, and I think I have the autoimmune hepatitis, but they said I tested positive for the hep c antibody, tested me a aweek later and said I was in remission.

I have autoimmune hepititis as well (Im 21), mine is stage 3-4, I was initially treated with prednizone (a sterioid) and now am on imuran (an immunosurpressant). Hopefully your friends daughter wont need a liver transplant as that would require her having to take strong and potentially dangerous medications for the rest of her life, although I dont know her situation or how advanced her condition is, I have rarely had any discomfort other than medication related with my disease.
