Coming off Imuran?

I know with prednisone, you have to be slowly weaned off to prevent complications.  Is it the same type of deal with imuran?  Do you have to be weaned off it as well or can you just stop taking it and be fine?

I've always thought you could just come off imuran.  My Dr. had to switch me off imuran on to 6 mp and I just stopped taking it that day, within a week it was completely out of my system...Hope this helps...
