HepC and Autoimmune Hep

In response to a question on the HepC forum I found that I have a lot of autoimmune disorders related to my HepC.  I started treating 3 months ago in a trial without interferon and no side effects.  The lichen planus and OLP has gone into remission.  I also have Graves and diabetes.  My question is could I also have autoimmune hepatitis and somehow it has not been noted by docs?  I am being followed very closely in my trial at a major research hospital.  Of course, they are most concerned about eradicating the virus.  But if there is a blood test I am supposed to get for this other disorder I would like to get it now.  I believe it would be really awful to have to combat another hepatitis after having conquered one.  I found this link pretty upsetting.

Hi Curious...I was at the Hepa Dr yesterday and somehow the labs messed up and didn't run the results for Autoimmune Hep C.  I was like "holy $%^&"!  Since I have the PCT tx has been delayed until I can get my iron and ferritin levels down.  Starting phlebotomies this week on a weekly basis until I get them down within normal range.  Dr said this could take 3 - 6 months before I can even start tx.  In the meantime another worry for lab results and EVEN if I can start tx.  AIH you have to take steriods for a period of time before Hep C tx.  Once again another road block.

Hope you are well!
