Is that any sign of Hepatitis???

Im a 27 year old male. My mom diagnosed with colon cancer last year (54).. I had a severe constipation 8 month ago with a lower left abdomen pain. The doctor diagnosed me with ulcer after reviewing my x-ray. And mentioned my liver looks swollen. But nothing to worry about. After 3-4 months i started having major problem with constipation, the lower abdomen and decided to see another doctor who suggested i should do colonoscopy and referred me to a GI specialist. Couple month later the GI put me on Miralax and started eating lot of fiber foods cut on spicy, acidic foods. No pains and daily normal bowel movement. The blood work again should a slight high points on the result (6 month since first told).. should i be worried of any kind of hepatitis?? Please advise me.

ok... don't panic! I am not a doctor, just someone that was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis and few other autoimmune diseases. I don't want to discourage you but numbers only can't tell anything. You probably had complete blood work done, wich means Liver Panel, Complete Blood Count, etc... even if some number or numbers came back high, they itself can't tell if there is something bad going on, and believe, it took me sometime to realize that... they are an indicative that something is going on, but it can be for a short period of time and after few weeks or months, when you have new blood work, they can come back normal, wich means, whatever you had, your body faught and you are back to your normal. In order to understand you have to have a complete picture in front of you, which means, you have to have a copy of your results and have all the number together and knowing which numbers are high and which ones are not.
Talking especifically about hepatitis, there are viral hepatitis (A,B,C,D, and if not mistaken rare E)  and autoimmune hepatitis. The first type someone is exposed to the virus and the second case you own body starts to attack your liver.
As I said, based on your description, it doesn't look like you should be worried about Hepatitis but I am not a doctor and I don't have all you medical history in front of me. Keep talking to you GI, get copy of your blood work and keep track of your symptoms. If doesn't get better, ask for more tests, ask for another RX or Ultrassound to check your liver, if it still swolen. There are other possible causes for elevated liver enzimes such as fatty liver, etc. Make a list of questions when you go to see you GI or Family Physician, ask to be re-evaluated every few months (2-3) so they can get a picture of how well your body is respoding to the treatment or if the blood work came back to the normal range... the tip is keep yourself on the top of your health without panic... just being in charge of your own health. Keep us posted about your progress!
Best Wishes!

Hi,
Based only on your description, it doesn't look like you should be worried about Hepatitis. What kind of blood work have you done and what were the results?? Were the liver enzimes elevated? (AST, ALT, etc). You sould keep in touch with your GI at least until you are back to your normal again. Best Wishes!
