misdiagnosis for hep c when it was AIH??

WOW!!!! You have struck a chord.  I just found this forum for hep c patients on studies because I started one 5 weeks ago.  However, I have always felt in my heart of hearts that it could be AIH.  Reading what you posted back in April about edema (which I have...terribly) and I also got radiation twice for my overactive thyroid, I got a horrible case of Graves Disease.  Then I was told I had HEP C!!! Has anyone ever heard if someone gets diagnosed as hep C and it is really Autoimmune Disease????

AIH and Hep C tests are entirely different.  There would be no mistaking them.  But, you can have both.
