3 months after PEG interferon 180

31 old male, born with HBV. Never try any treatment.

Before 1st injection:

DNA>5x10^7 (upper limit of the device is 5x10^7, so don't know the exact number, perhaps over 10^8)
HBsAg=33000iU,
HBeAg=1000iU
ALT=200

After 8th injection:
DNA>3.3x10^7
HBsAg=9900iU,
ALT=58

After 12th injection:
DNA=4.89x10^6
HBsAg=5900iU,
ALT=57

I think PEG is effective for me, will continue it. God bless us.

peginterferon doesn t work without taking nucs first for 3 to 5 years, peginterferon has a response of 7% if used alone vs 91% if used with nucs first....flying is just one lucky in the extremely small 7%

But so far as I know, not everyone has very good response to Interferon. With 3 months interferon, no reduce or little reduce on HBVDNA and HBsAg is also quite common. Then the only way we can go is NUCs.
I am perhaps lucky this time. Or probably because I take VD3 10000IU everyday?
Will the titer go on decreasing later?

Yes, it is.

For HbeAg positive, some studies indicate that genotype B is generally higher probability of response to PEG than genotype C, but your results are very encouraging indeed.

That's the point, I don't know, in China doctors never say anything about Genetype, what I know is most of Chinese patients are with a Genetype C.
Does the Genetype matter here for PEG?

I have little side effect, only a bit nausea one day after the injection, not a big deal.
