I wanted to respond. As long as you stay on the Viread, you'll always be < 20 (which is considered undetected). There is no time frame for anything else other than monitor your liver with an Ultrasound (or Fibroscan if needed) every 6 months. Since you're taking Viread, you should rule out bone density loss over time with a DEXA scan every year. If you can get it done ever 6 months, then have it done. Also, monitor kidney functions through blood test.
You're doing just fine and 3 months is a great response! Make sure you take at least 10,000iu of Vitamin D3 daily and monitor as well!
I get the same thing. It's the baseline they use for Undetectable. So while it does say "detected" it actually is undetectable if it's under 20. Apparently it's the sensitivity of the test. There are other tests out there which offer a lower number, I'd suggest those if he can.
