Hi Guys,

Im just looking for abit of advice on hepatitis as I dont know much about it.

Today I went to the barbers in the (UK).

I asked for a shave. I watched the barber spray his electrical trimmer with anit bacterial stuff and then proceded to shave me with it.

He ended up nipping me on the neck (adams apple)

Is this a risk of Hep?

Sorry If it may sound stupid but I can get quite paronoid about these sort of things.

do make blood check, hiv, hbv and hcv are much more common that you might think

keep in mind that there are reports of wrong sequense sterilizations in US and about 20% infections in US are aquired in healthcare settings with just wrong sequences of sterilization, so a barber shop that shares razors with no strerilization at all has much higher percentages

They use electric trimmers though not razors??? is this what you mean?

shaving cannot be shared, that a perfect way to spread viruses that kind of shops are not allowed any more and hair dressers cannot use razors for the same reason, only scissors are allowed nothing else

Yes they do exist and tons of people use them.

do they still exsist?in italy razors are proibited both at hair dreesers or anywhere since they spread all disease and there is no way to kill viruses on it unless steam autoclave like at the dentists but even that can fail if correct procedure is not followed.
so it is real crazy to use these things with all the knowledge of viruses we have today and the fact that yo can sue the barber for millions if you get a disease

useless even for bacteria.just wonder why dentists are expensive.....the autocalve process of sterilization

this is a risk for any disease, do take hbv vaccien shot if in UK hbv vaccine at birth is still not done like in third world countries (in europe most rich countries have vaccine at birth)

check for hiv, hbv, hcv and other possible blood trasmission diseases.be also careful that thru this community we got to know UK healthcare is one of the worst in europe (except eastern poor europ countries)
