Hi - I posted this in another forum on this site and have been asked to post here. If you could help it'd be appreciated.
I've seen conflicting information on what I'm about to ask from Dr. Google, so any information/advice would be greatly appreciated.
My concerns are mainly around oral sex and potential infections - I'm a male and have given/received with female partners; protection has always been used when having full intercourse. So question, what are the main risks and possible infections (other than anxiety!!) associated with oral sex in particular HepB.
Hi, if your partner has had hepatitis B infection, than it can be transmitted by oral sex. Hepatitis B can spread through sexual encounters, if there has been mixing of blood or body fluids. You can get yourself tested to know the exact status. Also, there is vaccination for hepatitis B, please have yourself vaccinated. Regards.
