Anyone experiences Dizziness?

by RogerR, Feb 10, 2004 12:00AM
I have a chronic HepB and have been on medication for almost 10 years (last two years on Entecavir plus Lamivudine). My liver functions are normal and the results of my last biopsy turned out to be o.k.

One of my main complaint is dizziness. My doctor tells me that it isn't related to HepB and can't tell me what the problem might be. Has anyone  experienced dizziness? in my case to the point that I have to sit or lay down at severe times.

Thanks for your contribution.

I used to experience experienced dizziness quite often.  I found it to be multi symptons. Ears and hypertension and smoking all the devil weeds. Ciggs, cigars, weed. The weed affected my ears, the tobacco affected my lungs, made me cough and to top everything off I have high blood pressure. Quit the smoking and started high pressure meds and have had very rare dizziness.

Thanks for the tip. I think you might be right. I smoke weed regularly, thought it could be some kind of compensation for alcohol. Is there anything we can do for fun?! Are you still smoking or did you give up entirely?

I'm starting to find out as of this past year if its enjoyable...its out the window!  Geeze...seems like I can't have any fun anymore haha  Of course...There is some people here that do smoke pot and I haven't heard them say anything about the dizziness so not sure about that.

Is your dizziness like a head rush all day long?  Then of course its related to pot smoking.  I once heard that pot raises your pulse and lowers your blood sugar, so thats why you get head rushes.

But is it damaging to the liver? God knows we have to take far worse drogs very day and don't even get in a good mood from it!

While mary jane is processed through the liver, it doesn't damage it the way booze does.  I see 2 expert hepatologists and was quite frank about my love afair with pot... daily for about 10 years, and both of them said not to worry that it can't damage your liver.  i'm sure you will get a flurry of opinions about that, but I am just reporting what my doctors both said...  "You musn't drink liquor, but if you need to indulge in pot from time to time, use moderation."

BTW-- there are many in favor of medical marijuana, even hepatologists.

I recently went to the doctor complaining of constant vertigo, dizziness and nausea.  I've been experiencing it for about 4 weeks along with fatigue, weight loss and dark urine.  I thought I had an inner ear infection.

My blood tests came back indicating Hepatitis.  The tests are being run again to tell definitively if I have Hep A or B.  However, the dizziness has been so bad that I have a hard time walking at times.  I don't smoke, pot or cigarettes and I haven't had alcohol.

I can only assume that the dizziness is directly related to the fact that I have hepatitis.  Am I the only one experiencing this?

I have Hep B too, had some dizziness when I didn't rest well, like drink or party too late. So maybe try to rest more and go to Gym more often? When your body is in greater shape, you feel better in general. Hope this help.
