Cure for Hepatit B?

Hi,

I've learnt that my boyfriend has Hepatit B but we dont know wheter it is akut hepatitis B or cronic (chronic).
Is there a medical cure for akut Hepatit B?
Would it be possible to remove the virus from the body completly?

If your boyfriend is an adult, then he has a very good chance at clearing the virus by himself via his immune system.  If so, he will be immuned via past infection.  For adults, only about 10% becomes a chronic.  Rule of thumb if that if HBsAg is positive for 6 months or more, then it's chronic.

If you are not immuned to HepB, get vaccinated, and check to make sure your HBsAb is at a good level to confirm immunity post vaccination.
