Deciding if I should take Tenofovir

My doctors are trying to convince me to take Tenofovir in the last trimester of my pregnancy. I'm really debating on if I should or not because of some of the side effects. I know this should be the last of my worries but I'm wondering if anyone taking Tenofovir has had the buffalo hump side effect. Any suggestions would help.

by the way chances for the baby to get hbv are quite low, less than 10%

chances you can lower viral load zero

you are immune tollerant, no tx will work, what med is the shot?
consult with another very expert liver specialist because during immune tollerance tx are proibited because they can make viral mutation and once you will need a cure to block liver damage you will have no cure
my suggestion is do not start any tx!!!

you might try this which makes no mutation and can be stopped anytime:

but again you have no immune response so there is no med that can lower viral load

i hope the baby can be saved from hbv by vaccine and hbig treatment

I'm in the 6billion. It has doubles since I got pregnant and they want to lower the count before my baby comes since it'll give my baby a higher chance of getting it even with the shots. I'm afraid to go on it because I'm only 24 and I was told by my doctors that I'll need to remain on it FOREVER once I'm on it. I think I'm too young to start using meds for the rest of my rest and was hoping I can slowly get off of it once baby comes. He said that might be possible but not recommended. I'm not sure what all my numbers are but I do know my viral load is in the 6billion. I was told my liver is fine right now and my hep b isn't attacking my liver yet. They said I have normal liver funtions.

if hbvdna is very very high in the millions to billions ui/ml (not copies) it might help to save baby from hbv since 10% get it even if they have vaccine shot, if it is from thousands to some millions i wouldn't use tenofovir, but if doctors suggest tenofovir i guess you have high hbvdna

what are all marker hbv, hbvdna, hbsag quantity,alt/ast and liver damage by biopsy or fibroscan?

in pregnancy lam just for 1-2months or etv maybe safer but they are less potent than tenofovir
