Try to do hbsab hbsag tests
Hi Cindylotu, The Hep B. DNA Non Reactive means there are presently no detectable Hep B viral particles in that blood sample. I am unfamiliar with HBV for the most part. I guess the important questions are : 1) What prompted the blood test? 2) If you think you were exposed, how long ago was that? The incubation period for HBV is anywhere from 30- 180 days with 60 days the average, according to the W.H.O. I was intrigued that most people are asymptomatic during the acute (early) phase, the exact opposite of myself and my fellow travellers on this Forum who have Hep C. The acute phase of that infection leaves you looking for the license plate plate number of the car that just ran you over... Good luck, I hope you stay negative. There are other tests, like looking for antibodies, formed to fight the infection. If you are in an occupation or life situation that exposes you to HBV on a regular basis, PLEASE get the vaccination for it. No such thing exists for HCV, unfortunately. mac
this test alone means nothing for hbv infection
