Do individuals infected perinataly (from mother) seroconvert?

Currently 22 years old. Hbeab is positive and hbeag is negative but and hbsab is positive (got it from mother). Did the hepatitis b ever get active with a positive hbeag stage? Or has it never got active and she has been a carrier only since birth? How to tell if it ever got active? Does positive hbeab and negaive hbeag prove it had gotten active?

Thank you. Look forward to your answers.

NO. hbsag is still positive (she is carrier). Yes HBsab is positive and hbeag is undetected, viral load undetected. what do you say?

yes 1-3% every year and 5-10% on medications(medicines for those only who requires treatment when the virus is active replicating fast) 50% of people seroconvert themselves when they reaches the age of 50 yrs

sorry 75* years
This person has seroconverted by the age of 22 without medication. Her HBsag is still positive. Is this good? what are the chances of reactivation?? assuming she doesnt go through chemotherapy or immune suppression ever.
most of the people gets seroconverted to hbeag -ve after immune active phase and with medications this is acheivable in 1-3 yrs. It is very unlikely that it will reactivate now but keep tracking the status after 6 months and dont worry if it will there are very potential nucs present . I am also on tenofovir.
why do you say that it is very unlikely to reactivate? are you saying it is unlikely to reactivate forever? at some point isnt it going to reactivate on its own?

did yours reactivate? how long do you have to take tenofovir for and how much does it cost you?

thank you
Because most of the people becomes carrier and it stays dormant in 2/3 of the people.

i am just 24 and on tenofovir for last 6 months ot has done wonders for me my hbv dna was uncountable >170000000iu/ml in just 6 months it has come down to almost undetectable 1200iu/ml. i am from india here the generic version of tenofovir are available from abbott tenfoclear and cipla and are very cheap hardly costs me 15$ per month.
hey, in your opinion is she infectious in sexual contact?? She told me she isnt infectious and that why she had unprotected sex with me so many times, is this true or did she risk it?

Like i said her hbsag+ hbeag- hbeab+ and hbv dna is undetectable.
if your hbv dna becomes undetectable and your hbsag+ hbeag- and hbeab+ would you have unprotected sex with people without informing them or finding out if they are vaccinated?? would you expect a girl in this stage to tell you before having sex?
1% chance you will get it through sexual contacts mostly comes from blood contact or things that came in contact with contaminated blood like razor, blade, syringe etc
may be she was having fear to loose you and you know 95% people in this world who have hep b doesn't know they are having it and they have their families and lets consider if you get it from her at this time you will clear it easily as 95-97% adults do.Rest is understanding between both of you guys
She may loose me if she tells me but she would definitely loose me if she doesn't tell me so it doesn't make sense.

I need YOUR honest opinion please:

Even if it was a 0.01% chance i think she should have told me because she knew? She should have found out if i am immune?

isnt it my right to know before we get serious about the relationship?

isnt it fair to tell me before i am committed so that i can make a decision early instead of feeling trapped?

If she really loved me she would care enough to tell me at a better time then after 6 months! and she would also care about my health even if its not infectious, prevention is better then risk/cure right?

If she felt she would loose me doesn't mean she should trap someone innocent and wait until he is committed! he should know before he is committed right?

Its her responsibility to tell her partner very early and its a moral duty no matter how hard it is.

Im sorry i just want your opinions on all this..as someone with hepatitis b im sure you would tell a partner very early??

Thank you
and we weren't just fooling around, we were taking each other as potential life partners..so we were serious and she was serious about me then hiding it for 6 months doesn't make sense unless she was waiting for me to be 100% in love first or she was waiting to see if i can be a right life partner only then she told me. In all the ways it seems selfish right? No concern for me.
your shot brother just a true answer bro before getting cozy or in the initial of relationship she should have told you as i told my gf on the same day when i got about it
exactly.. you seem like a moral, truely loving man and i hope she took it well. i cant take it well as she knew about it even before we started dating but told me 6 months after we were dating. She could be scared but that doesn't mean she can be selfish.

To add, she is inactive as liver function tests are normal and hbv dna undetected.
