I posted this in the expert form and the doctor tells me there is ZERO risk of getting Hep B this way, Can you please explaine why this wouldnt transmit the virus please

MY QUESTION TO THE DOC>
Also one last question - Do you think Hep B could be transmitted this way -- One time I left my house and left my nephew here for a hour or so, when I came back I used my computer like always and while i typed I was picking a few scabs on my hand I had til they blead some. After this I noticed that there was sperm on the floor (He was masturbating when i was gone) the *** was on the floor but if he had some on his hands and it was transfered to the keyboard then from the keyboard to my scabs I was picking?

have you been vaccinated for Hep B? If you have, nothing will infect you with Hep B. Get yourself tested for the antibodies: HBsAb. If you have less than 10 IU/ml, get yourself vaccinated. It might make you feel better to learn that this is the method for prophylaxis as well.

the sprem does contain hep b, but for it to come into contact with the blood stream  it would have to enter directly. As the skin heals it starts with the inner layer then heals outward. the scab is just protecting the outer layer as the body heals inside. The inner layer with heal within minutes as the blood clot forms being finished within a matter of hours. By the way you are talking the scabs are days old which the inner had more then enough time to heal. The problablitiy of you getting hep b would be something like 1mill to 1.
