Im a dentist and i had a patient with hepatitis B, his saliva came in my eye. after i did first test ( after around 10 days to exposure) i had ABsAg positive,HIGH,3.56 and all the other markers non reactive. i got a shot of immunoglobulin 3 days ago and i got tested the day after. ABsAg was nonreactive now and other markers as well. what does this mean?

did you take immune globulins plus vaccine?

immune globulins alone are useless if you don t take vaccine, they just delay infection, take vaccine as soon as possible and check for hbsab (the protective antibody)

as a dentist you must be hbv, hav vaccinated and wear glasses and gloves expecially because you may infect a lot of people and of course you may have hbv-hiv-hcv infected people every day without you or patients know they are infected
