Entecavir and cancer

I read few old posts on the forum of Entecavir being linked to cancer during its early animal clinical trials, but it seems that this hasn't been the case for humans so far.

Does anyone has any more detailed info about it?

they are very pro sequential peginterferon add on since they studied hbsag quant among the first ones in the world and response of add on.

they have high cure rates by using these strategies of sequential add on despite we have almost all genotype D in italy which has the poorest clearance rates

at first they were about to stop the development of the drug but then choose to use on humans since lung cancer happened only on rats and not monkeys

the drug was approved with special monitoring for cancer, the bad point is cancer can take decades to develop to detectable.....so i never liked etv and when i found it didnt work on my hbsag reduction but increased it and wasn t even able to fully suppress hbvdna to less than 20iu/ml i switched to combo and then tdf mono

studyforhope also mentioned that mitocondrial damage after decades of use is worst on etv so definitely a drug which is best for those with kidneys damage
