Friend needs help fast.

My best friend has cirrhosis of the liver from being a drinker. She just found out that her platlets are only 30! Can anyone tell me what she needs to get those back up where they belong? Her appointment with the Specialist isn't for another three weeks! Please help?

I had such a huge response for my friend, that I wnted to say she starts Harvoni soon, that will clear the Hep C and as long as she continues with her abstinence of all alcohol she has a chance to live long enough to enjoy her grandchild, only one so far. Thanks again. Breezytoo.
