Typically time will tell if you are acute or chronic - if not HbSAg neg after one year  -chronic HBV. If you test the anti Hbcore IG-M subtype antibody, it will normally only be positive while acute or in a flare status. Total IgG anti-core AB will be always pos. Since you are surface antigen positive at least since April 2007, chances are that you are chronic.

It is not clear from your info if you are acute or chronic. Acute HBV disease: patients will  clear surface antigen/seroconvert  in 90-95%.

Thankyou for your reply,
Daer hepatitisresearcher,
whether it is possible that after getting medicine for one months more, my HBsAg level will reach less than cut-off value and also my blood indicate negative for hepatitis B......I am taking Herbal Medicines for the last 6-months.........
I think after medicine, my above status HBsAg "reactive" will likely become "non-raective" because HBsAg status is decreasing.............In April, the Gap between Patient value and cut-off value of HBsAg was 99 times of cutoff value(198/2.00) and this gap between Patient value and Cut-off value is decreased to 5.14 times(1.364/.265) of cut-off value in december and in this way about 90% recovery from HBsAg s upto december........
Kindly comment whether i am thinking right or not......
In this way, i hope to recover in a month...........

Thanks
Ghulam Abbas

Most of us are not doctors here, we are mostly lay people, except for the hepatitis researcher. Most of the people on the forum have hepatitis C and we know nothing about hepatitis B.

How do you define getting rid of hepatitis B? Your above status HBsAg "reactive" will likely stay reactive for the rest of your life.
