I hope you are doing good.

In May2015 I have diagnosed with +ve Hbsag and by seeing the reports doctor told me that I have been caring the infection for some years and now my body has cleared the virus. From June2015 I am facing abdominal pain in right side and due to this I am scaring a lot.

Here is my reports


May-2015:

HCV Elisa: Negative
HBeAG : Negative
HBsAg Elisa: Positive
HGsAG DNA : Less than detectable limits

Recently(Nov 2015) My doctor suggested me to have Liver biopsy. By seeing the reports he told me that I don't need any treatment at this time and ask me to consult after 6 months. but I am still facing the pain in right side, so he suggest me have CT scan.

Here is my liver biopsy results.

Liver biopsy(Nov 2015):
----------------------

1. One portal tract displaying mild Periportal interface hepatitis (score 1/4)
2. There is no evidence of Confluent necrosis(score 0/5)
3. Occasional lymphocytes are noted in the periportal area(score 1/4)
4. Fibrosis is not seen(score 0/6)
5. There is no evidence of lymphoid aggregates or balloon.
6. Focal (spotty) lytic necrosis is mild (1/4)

Degeneration of cells, steatosis is mild.

Hepatitis score 3/18 and Fibrosis score 0/6

LFT is normal.


Can you please suggest me what is my current situation of health and how to recover the damaged liver cells.
How to keep the normal liver health? what diet I need to follow?
It is possible to cure my liver and HBSag?

Please suggest..

Does having pain in your liver area always mean that your liver is damage

I am also having pain in the right side near my pelvic bone/ ovaries area. I went for a ultrasound today and they said everything looks perfect.

Good to hear your CT scan report is normal.
There are no pain receptors within the liver, so even if you have liver cancer, you will not have direct pain from the liver - a small blessing. Of course, effects from a damaged liver, such as ascites, will cause discomfort, but these will have symptoms.
If any pain persists, consult your doctor, they are not necessary due to your Hepatitis B.

A liver will heal itself (your liver is hardly damaged) once the underlying liver disease is under control. You have a small chance to cure yourself and clear HBsAg. Eat a healthy diet just like everyone should, regular exercise, no smoking nor drinking, and  regular checkups.

In liver biopsy fibrosis count is 0. You mean to say my liver is already damaged?

Thanks Stephen for all your reply. Actually I am scaring a lot with pain in right side and that is the reason asking more specific. Please don’t take it wrong as still I feeling pain in right side. How to reduce this pain?
Currently I am not using any medicine.

Hi Stephen,

Today I got my CT scan and report NORMAL. As I mentioned earlier it is not degeneration of cells and it is  no degeneration of cells.
