HBV abs test after 5 months

Hello,

            I have vaccinated for HBV & HAV on oct 2009 (3 dose) and had sex on dec 2009 with csw, but it was protected by condom. but her vaginal fluid were touched in my sum part of body.

I checked my HBV & HCV test through anitbiody test after 5 months(it was negative), wheter its ok or my protected sex will not cause me HBV or my HBV booster is safe for me..

Kindly explain me clearly.

i am talking about Hbsab, my antibiody report was 0.272 (Negative) after a protected exposure @ 5 months

i am sorry but the names you are writting do not exist ABS what is it hbsab or hbsag?

if it is hbsab (antibody for surface antigen) you are not protected, recently blood tests are more frequent and actually hbv vaccine is not that great and antibodies can go down after 10 years so better check every 10y

i cant get you, bt i got the report as 0.272 for HBV for ABS test after 5 months..can you tell me the window period for HBV.

you just have to make sure hbsab >10miu/ml and you are safe
