Now, iam studying in US, i will be back soon to my home country Saudi Arabi,
I already make appointment with doctor in Saudi Arabia to do fibroscan, HBsAg quantitiative abbot or roche archetict in iu/ml, also for HBsAb,
Here, i tried to convience a doctor to HBcAb igM to make sure whether it is accute or chronic he said wait until it 6 monthes from date of first diagnosis. Also he he said no need for quantitative for HBsAb,
He also said i dont recommend fibroscan, and i search in the whole city which i living , it is not available in all laboratories,
In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, fibroscan is available all tests are available, iam adoubt about HBsAg mutant, what is the common that the lab staff can understand what i want?

a very stupid doctor........especially because the 6months wait cant say if cronic (chronic) or acute since a high percentage of acute clears hbsag in 1 year and not 6 months.this way of acting is from preistoric era when blood tests were not available, if this is a dotcor it is not needed

when you get back to europe or saudi just ask for:
hbsag architect quantitative test in iu/ml with diluition for values higher than 250iu/ml

if your hbv infection is acute the following tests are needed:
hbsag quant, hbsab titer, hbcab igm quantitative better, hbvdna pcr, hbeag and hbeab

fibroscan is not needed unless you know that alt were always below 200 because fibroscan measures both inflammation and fibrosis so the reading is not accurate if there were alt flares, in any case you can test it every 4 or 6 months if you can afford or free.i did it every 4 month monitoring because of course it is free here in italy and it was done together with ultrasound

ultrasound to check for fatty liver and liver cancer

if it comes out as cronic (chronic) fibroscan and hbsag quant monitoring are the most important together with hbvdna pcr and alt/ast

also check your cholesterol levels and vitamin d levels since you can weaken the virus easily by changing these values
