Hi all, I would to seek for your advice regarding HBV. I would like to learn more to improve HBV condition so that I can help to improvement my mother condition. I know nothing about HVB and out of idea how to help to improvement the situation. Can advice me on how to start from here...
Now Doctor ask to take Baraclude 1 table daily. She already done blood test, but not sure which information require... Pls help to guide me. Thank you very much for all your help.
hbsag is hbv infection and its quantity reflects infected cells in the liver while hbvdna don t.so hbsag quant is the most important test which combined with hbvdna,ast/alt, hbv genotype and fibroscan reflects infection status and possible clearance
Based on existing test report. Can we know how is the current health condition? Doctor ask to take Balaclude (Entecavir). I read from internet that once start with Balaclude, we can't change to Tenofovir. Is that true?
Pls help! Once started with Entecavir. Can we change to Tenofovir? I heard that Tenofovir will cause our Kidney problem. Is that true? What are the altenative that I can choose? Seem like no way to choose... can help me up? Thanks!
hbv infect kidneys cells and damages kidneys too, so some hbv carriers have damaged kidneys due to hbv infection.few tests can tell how kidneys are: urine microalbumine to urine creatinine ratio is the best test, followed by cystain C
no that is not true, tenofovir has no effect on kidneys function unless the kidneys are damaged already, and even in this case there are interventions to recover kidneys function and use tdf (fibroguard, baking soda, nac, liposomes of vit c, glutathione, resveratrol and curcumin or add on of telbivudine)
tenofovir is just not good for people with damaged kidneys baseline
Doctor say, Using Tenofovir, 3% of the people will facing Kidney problem. But, So far so good for Entecavir.
Entecavir is very expensive compare to Tenofovir. That's why plan to change to Tenofovir. But, Doctor say only can choose one. Once you choose, cannot switch to others. That's make me worry. Why got such medication?
I am 29 years old and taking Entecavir for 6 months. I asked my doctor why I do not use Tenefovir. He told me that "you are young. We want to have an alternative weapon (tenefovir) if you develop resistance to Entecavir."
So, what we can understand that you can change from Entecavir to Tenefovir.
