Appreciate your comments. I learn of my condition just last week when i try to donate blood.
HBsAG with Titer 2,891.0 - would you know how long have i had the virus? (months or years)
Anti HBs <2.00 IU/L - will this develop/increase over time? (months or years)
Thank you,
jorgehb
your HBsAG ( hepatitis b surface antigen) is positive
which means that hepatitis b virus is present.
your Anti-HBs is negative which means your body has not built enough antibodies to eradicate the virus.
like enricocire said : for immunity you need Anti-HBs to be over 10.
and surface antigen to be negative.
You are a hepa B virus positive. in order for you to develop immunity to it. HBsAg should be below 1 (since the cut off value is 1)
Your Anti HBs should be above 10.000 then you'll be immune. the values should be the other way around.
