Please sir  interpretate  this result for me.. This is the actual result I have for the viral load result... HBV DNA COPIES   10301 CP/ML   HEPATITIS B VIRUS DNA 1770 IU/ML   THE LINEAR REPORTABLE RANGE OF THE ROCHE TAQMAN  ASSAY IS 20- 170,000,000 IU/ML    RESULT BELOW THE LOWER LIMIT OF DETECTION OF 9 IU/ML WILL BE REPORTED AS NOT DETECTED..        MY ASAT/SGOT WAS 36.7   ALAT/SGPT IS 61.6

hep, surface antigen.positive Surface antibody...negative Envelope antigen.negative Envelope antibody.positive Core antibody positive.

Are you sure that HBe & AB HBe are positive? result that you post don't say anything, we need also the cut off values for this one (also i mentioned that a * is present, what this means? )

The fact that a number exist is not equivalent with a positive (reactive) value, to be reactive this number has to be bigger then the cut off value. (lower then this value can be some residuals from the chemical reaction).

anyway, i think that a new vaccine dose is needed in you case and after that to check AB HBs again, but this has to be discuses with a doctor

"Cut off value is 0.089. i dont know if this is in iu/ml" - it looks to me that this are not in IU/ml (cut off value in IU.ml is 10 Iu/ml)
maybe you should look for another lab and repet this tests and ask him to give you the results of anibody in IU/ml or you should call the actual lab and ask him what is the IU/ml result.

Hi there
I have the following evolution of serologies of HBV, and I would appreciate much if someone could interpret them for me. I was vaccinated back in 1997, but it seems I am not immune anymore.
My transaminases are ok, but the fact that HBe & AB HBe are detectable in blood puzzles me. I must also add that I am diagnosed with Post viral Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since 2006.

Any hel is very much appreciated. my email is carlitos.gonzalez "ad" "dot" com

it look to me that you are not chronically infected "hbs ag non reactive 0.029" but I can not tell you anything about your actual protection "anti hbs reactive 1.933"  - usually the anti Hbs answer is given in a iu/ml and cut off value is 10 if I remember correct, so plese check if you have a answer on iu/ml

Hi kindly interpret my result. hbs ag non reactive 0.029
anti hbs reactive 1.933, anti hbe non reactive 1.588, hbe ag non reactive .023

right now there is no cure to hepatitis B . if you have hepatits B then there is always a chance you can infect others depending on your level of viral load.

run more tests ( complete hep b profile ) to see where u stand from hepB

so it means that this not curable? will I infect others ?

HBsAg          3.399             0.105                         reactive

This means you have HepB, most likely chronic.
You need to check HBV DNA to assess viral activity.  Also simple imaging / blood test (AFP) to screen for HCC.
